Within ten minutes, the room has been festooned with peony garlands and bunches of the flowers tossed on pretty much every empty space. Satisfied, she picks up the puppy and squeezes him]

My eyes were still heavy with sleep by the time I rolled over, groping the other side of the bed and finding it sadly empty and cold. Sitting up, I noticed he had kicked half of the covers off of the bed, and the sheet was tangled around my legs.

I yawned, halfway wondering how much sleep he had gotten, and halfway knowing that it didn't really matter. Klavier was going to keep at this until he got better or passed out from exhaustion. I'd seen it before, in the new recruits for the third division. After their first fight, you pretty much just had to step back, let them have their breakdown, and then get them back up again.  Soldiers were like that, and Klavier seemed to have that same spirit.

Still, it made me feel guilty. Add that to the fact that, no matter what, I just couldn't bring myself to hate Kristoph, and I was thinking that I'm pretty much the worst girlfriend ever. I guess it really doesn't matter much when I'm still laying in bed, just trying to get in the smell of him before I have to get up, though.

[Peony flops over in bed, smiling to herself]

Treble! I should take the cute little puppy out for a walk~ ♥ Klavier!  Would you like to come with us~?  ♥!!

[Have a Peony, sitting back home, surrounded by CDs, a CD player, her violin-shaped bass, a German phrasebook, and a few movies. Her hair's a little messy, and she's only wearing her tunic and (presumably) underwear, but the tunic's long enough to cover]

Now that everything's back to normal...ish...kind of...I got some new music! ...and I'm figuring out this bass guitar thing!

I hope everyone is doing okay! ♥ That whole "ghost city"-thing sucked.

[pulls her bass back into her lap and plucks it thoughtfully, working out a song in her head]

[Peony is staying at the hospital for the moment, lounging against the wall in one of the rooms. She bites her lip, seemingly concentrating at something outside the window.]

H--hey, Klavier? You don't see that, do you?

First I'm poisoned, and now...this.

[The tree castle makes a small cracking noise, and Peony wanders from room to room, stepping between cracks in the floor and scattering piled-up papers.  She wipes the dust from one window, sighing to herself.

A loud crack is heard, and the room she is in shakes, the floor collapsing under her.

She has enough time to scream and cling to the remainder of the floor for dear life, hanging halfway into the air, a nearly twenty-foot fall between herself and the ground.]

[Peony is shaking, her eyes half closed and just looks....miserable. A blanket is wrapped tightly around her body and she is very clearly in agony. The skin around her eyes is mottled with yellow and red, capillaries having burst in her first attempts to purge whatever it was she had ingested from her system.]

I think...I had too much wine at that party.  This is the worst hangover ever.

Alright, Saphir.  We're going to have to lay down some ground rules if we're going to be living together.
